Beth recently completed her doctorate degree in Environmental Policy at the University of Nairobi's Faculty of Law. Her thesis, titled Management and Regulation of Gold Cyanidation Activities in Siaya County, Kenya: An Environmental Policy Perspective, led to three original papers, two of which were published in Springer Nature’s Journal of Environmental Geochemistry and Health and the Journal of Mineral Economics. Beth also holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Planning and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Conservation. In addition, she serves as the Membership Manager for Eastern Africa at the Global Waste Cleaning Network (GWCN) and is the Founder and CEO of Save Our Planet Earth-Kenya (SOPE), an NGO dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability.
